Seasonal Housekeeping Officer
Sansui Niseko is a luxury hotel located in the beautiful ski resort destination of Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan.
We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Officer to join our team.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support and oversee the cleanliness, presentation, and overall upkeep of guest rooms and public areas throughout the property. Working closely with our outsourced housekeeping team, the Housekeeping Officer will help ensure that all areas of the hotel consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and appearance.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and overall quality standards are consistently maintained.
- Replenish and manage guest amenities, linens, and hotel supplies as required.
- Perform cleaning and general upkeep duties throughout the property when necessary.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with the outsourced housekeeping team and other hotel departments.
- Ensuring workplace safety and contribute to a safe, organized, and productive working environment.
- Deliver high-quality service with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Assist in ensuring guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment throughout their stay.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience in the hotel industry is preferred (no experience required; entry-level candidates are welcome).
- Physically capable of handling and carrying moderately heavy items such as linens and hotel supplies.
- Motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to performing duties with honesty and care.
- A team player who can adapt flexibly to changing work schedules and operational needs.
- Possess basic business etiquette and a strong sense of hospitality.
- Must have strong communication skills in Japanese; English communication ability is an advantage.
- Experience or familiarity with hotel property management systems such as OPERA is preferred.
- Previous experience in the hotel or accommodation industry is an advantage.
Employment Conditions
- Winter Seasonal Position (approximately November 2026 to March 31, 2027)
- Hourly Wage: From ¥1,500 per hour and above (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
- Shift-Based Schedule: Average of 40 working hours per week
